Hops Sensory Workshop


This class is designed for brewers of all levels.



Are you a brewer of any level interested in elevating your brewing knowledge about hops? Are you in the industry and are looking to take an advanced beer service certification exam? Welcome to our Master Workshops!

The Mastering Hops Workshop explores in depth the history, cultivation and use of hops in modern brewing.

This workshop is hands-on. Taste a variety of hop teas, hop infusions and dry-hopped beers.

We’ll have cuppings of various other varieties as well focusing on European and US varietals including some of the newest and greatest like HBC438 and Mandarina Bavaria.

Topics will include:

  • Condensed history of hops
  • Hops cultivation and breeding
  • Hops in the brewhouse
  • IPA’s and beyond
  • Hops cupping and tasting
  • Dry Hop Experiment
  • Tools and tips for choosing the hops for ¬†your next recipe

Class includes specially dry-hopped two 8oz. pours from our tasting room
